This work reflects the more urban side of Dowon, with the neutral pallet allowing for the harshness of the straight lines to reflect the cityscape itself. Behind all this through it&#x27;s gauze it allows your inner colour to shine through, allowing you to show off not only your true self, but any body modifications you may have that reflect this. The texture of the one piece might remind some of the skirts worn by corporate &quot;office women&quot;, however styled into this cropped one piece featuring many cut outs it represents the rebellion of youth and desire to fit in whilst standing out. Whilst this is a top and pants (and cardigan) it looks like a romper, not dissimilar to those you might have worn in your youth, but designed as if it has aged along with you, it&#x27;s now styled for an adult yet shows your inner youth and outer adult are in harmony, allowing your inner colour to shine brighter than any clothing could. The dark and cropped cardigan not only adds an interesting visual dynamic, but also suggests a &quot;comfort blanket&quot; for the wearer, providing them their own safe space to show their inner self through the cur outs below, whilst feeling protected by the fabric around your shoulders, something that in your youth is so often frowned upon. This design not only represents an urban world, but all the complexities that can come along with being a youth in a big city trying to find your way, and only just beginning to know how to show your inner colours. Once you get past dissecting the artistic value of this outfit, it is a one piece with several cut outs and a cropped cardigan. The design has a balance of edginess and playful youthfulness with it&#x27;s design, whilst also remaining an element of class through it&#x27;s use of fabrics. This work is the story of a person moving to Dowon and just beginning to find their youthful expression, stepping in to a whole new world as well as a whole new city.
