Contributed by <a href="https://connect.clo-set.com/portfolio/5533/collection" target="_blank">Hugh Clarke</a> Size range: one size The Zeltbahn, or German shelter quarter, is a beautiful piece of multifunction modular design. It is a triangle pattern mainly used as a wet weather poncho or as some shelter.   Combined, they can be used as a tent construction from a four-person tent up to a large communal space covering 25 square meters using sixteen Zeltbahns. Other uses include a stretcher to carry away injured soldiers or a flotation device. It was introduced into the German army in 1931 and constructed out of a water-repellent cotton fabric called &quot;Makostoff&quot;.   At the start of the 80s Massimo Osti used the Zeltbahn for inspiration in his first Stone Island collection launched in spring summer 1982. Osti reengineered the Zeltbahn by adding a hood and wide cuffs to prevent water from entering the sleeves. Osti used an innovative fabric called &quot;Tela Stella,&quot; a double-sided cotton canvas.   With the Stone Island 40th Anniversary celebrations going on, they have released a modern reinterpretation of the 982 Tela Stella. Modern construction is made from a light, paper-effect, non-woven fabric composed of compacted nylon fibres, protected on the outsides. This is an open source, size graded, ready-for-production pattern, according to the [a]industri Open-Source Production Pattern guidelines (OSPP). Feel free to use and develop this design further.
