Pattern Maker

The basic elements of folding architecture&#x27;s folding system consist of a structure encased in a covering that surrounds its components and their structures. Applying this concept to design, I created two styles of garments: one featuring pleats for flexibility and free-form shape changes, and another that embraces and contains the uneasy movements caused by such designs. Each pleat is cut and sewn to provide unrestricted movement, simultaneously addressing the inherent instability with a stabilizing garment, resulting in mutually enhancing designs. Through poses and objects, the design elements such as the angles, fluid movement, and subtle instability of pleats are expressed, reflecting KUHO&#x27;s contemporary mood in a minimalist manner.
