I'm a Character Effects artist at Blur Studio. The modeling department at Blur Studio has always used Marvelous Designer as part of their workflow. While working on the Far Cry 5 trailer, we started looking into Marvelous Designer for the cloth simulation artists, as well.</p><p></p><h1><span><strong>Which features do you think is the most powerful advantage in the Marvelous Designer compared to other clothing simulation tool when you were using it for Far Cry 5?</strong></span></h1><p>With Marvelous Designer, you can build your garments, make quick easy changes, and get amazing, realistic wrinkles with ease! Because the wrinkles were created in a physically accurate way, they won't fight your simulation. Also, you can use real life tailoring techniques to tweak and alter your clothes. Poly-modeling or sculpting clothes is mostly guessing. Multiple complex layers tend to fight each other and the avatar.</p><p></p><h1><span><strong>Would you recommend Marvelous Designer to CG artist and why is that?</strong></span></h1><p><span>I would absolutely recommend Marvelous Designer to other CG artists! Marvelous Designer is very consistent and efficient for creating realistic clothing.
