Pinned Memory explores the tension between preservation and transformation through Vivienne Westwood’s iconic language of tartan, corsetry, and reconstruction.Inspired by the principles of Cut, Slash & Pull, the garment reinterprets tradition as a process of continuous dismantling and rebuilding. Tartan is cut, displaced, and reconstructed around the body, creating a silhouette that exists between structure and collapse.Oversized safety pins act as visible gestures of repair, holding together fragmented forms while preserving traces of transformation. The corset remains the architectural foundation of the garment, while chains and disrupted drapery introduce a dialogue between control and rebellion.Developed in CLO3D and presented through Unreal Engine and MetaHuman, the project combines digital garment construction, virtual character integration, and real-time visualization to reinterpret Vivienne Westwood’s legacy within contemporary digital fashion.
