I have the issue since about the update to Connect authentication that Clo3D is running very unstable. Most issues I have with crashes when rendering, sometimes the PC freezes for a short time then CLo3d is just closed, sometimes it just stops randomly at any step (like picture 3 75%) and is no more doing nothing also not reacting (I need to close with taskmanager). I updated to WIN 11, also downloaded latest NVIDIA Studio driver (for 3080TI). It is very annoying and taking me hours of time. I use the latest version of Clo3D

Hi,I've been experimenting with the Auto-Fitting / Re-Drape option of Marvelous Designer on my custom avatar. I'm trying to re-drape garments from the store and the garments are fitted backwards. Auto Fitting tool fitting garments backwards

In this section I will go over some of the techniques I used to create the hanging leather tasset for “Warrior of The East” project. <img src="https://storagefiles.clo-set.com/public/community/202603/7d6a190669094bde95bc15b964c4029c/images/45e75aa8c84b43fca757a55eb4d1b2a91.jpg" alt="45e75aa8c84b43fca757a55eb4d1b2a9" class="custom-image original-size" data-id="45e75aa8c84b43fca757a55eb4d1b2a9" data-width="4500" data-height="3272"> Before we begin, we will need the hanging tasset to be attached to another garment around the waist area of the character. To do this I created a basic rectangular pattern. Right click on the pattern and select Symmetric Pattern with Sewing. Adjust the pattern length to fit snug around the avatar’s waist. You can use measuring tape tool if you are unsure about the measurements and size of your avatar. Before simulating it is a good idea to increase the fabric’s friction to 99, which can be found under Fabric Property Editor Details. Friction makes the garment not slide off the surface of the avatar during simulation, the higher the value the more friction between the garment and the avatar. Once you have the fabrics simulated, select both patterns, right-click and choose Freeze. This will keep this fabric at its current position so we can use it as an anchor to hold the tasset pattern. <img src="https://storagefiles.clo-set.com/public/community/202603/7d6a190669094bde95bc15b964c4029c/images/beb4690cc03d4cd79f1b4e261fc0d1433.jpg" alt="beb4690cc03d4cd79f1b4e261fc0d143" class="custom-image original-size" data-id="beb4690cc03d4cd79f1b4e261fc0d143" data-width="3825" data-height="2074"> Next, we will trace the shape of the basic shape of the tasset using the Polygon Tool (H). Trace one half, then select the center edge, right-click and choose Unfold Symmetric Editing (With Sewing). Symmetric editing is very useful to create symmetric patterns quickly, you can always remove linked editing by right-clicking the center line on the pattern and choosing “Remove Linked Editing”, should you need to break symmetry. Next, select the side and bottom edges, right-click and select “Offset as Internal Line”. I used 4cm for the distance between the internal lines and pattern outline. Follow this up by enabling seam taping with 20mm width to the pattern outline. <img src="https://storagefiles.clo-set.com/public/community/202603/7d6a190669094bde95bc15b964c4029c/images/7b814dea31774e4395f13ca18a2c3eb34.jpg" alt="7b814dea31774e4395f13ca18a2c3eb3" class="custom-image original-size" data-id="7b814dea31774e4395f13ca18a2c3eb3" data-width="2116" data-height="2010"> Now it’s time to sew the top edge of the pattern to the frozen belt strap we created earlier. The best tool for the job is Free Sewing Tool or Press M. Duplicate the default Fabric and give it a color of your choice, increase the stretch weft/warp values and shower sheer in order to achieve a drape that resembles a thicker and heavier fabric. Let the simulation run and adjust the shape of the pattern in both 2D and 3D windows until you have the desired results. It is a good idea to reduce the particle distance from 20 down to 15-12 at this stage to have a cleaner simulation. <img src="https://storagefiles.clo-set.com/public/community/202603/7d6a190669094bde95bc15b964c4029c/images/422d8b658abf4bd380217cd08a024b0b3.5.jpg" alt="422d8b658abf4bd380217cd08a024b0b" class="custom-image original-size" data-id="422d8b658abf4bd380217cd08a024b0b" data-width="975" data-height="687"> At this stage I start to use add-points and add curve points tool to place new points and shape the Pattern to match my reference/concept art. It is very important to ensure that at this stage your base pattern shape is finalized and accurate to your concept, as in next few steps we will be cutting the patterns and start the detailing process. <img src="https://storagefiles.clo-set.com/public/community/202603/7d6a190669094bde95bc15b964c4029c/images/aee884d040ae44aa89ffaef2d693d7573.5.jpg" alt="aee884d040ae44aa89ffaef2d693d757" class="custom-image original-size" data-id="aee884d040ae44aa89ffaef2d693d757" data-width="3832" data-height="2081"> Now with the base layer in place, select the pattern, right-click and select Layer Clone. Select all internal lines on the cloned pattern, right-click and select “Cut and Sew”. Since I want the outer edge to be leather and the inner fabric to be a softer fabric, I created two additional fabrics, using a leather pre-set the outer edge and one of the cotton fabric pre-sets for the inner pattern. At this stage, we will simulate the outer layer and get it in place. Based on my reference and concept, I wanted the center fabric to have folds and wrinkles while the outer edge to have a thicker and more rigid read similar to leather. To achieve this, select the center pattern and adjust the weft and warp shrinkage values and simulate again, as seen in the image below. (Tip: it is a good idea to set the outer layer patterns to Layer 1 before simulation to ensure they do not sink through the base layer, but set the Layer back to 0 once simulation settles in) <img src="https://storagefiles.clo-set.com/public/community/202603/7d6a190669094bde95bc15b964c4029c/images/924ec05fe72241789e643cbf74c0998d5.jpg" alt="924ec05fe72241789e643cbf74c0998d" class="custom-image original-size" data-id="924ec05fe72241789e643cbf74c0998d" data-width="3835" data-height="2074"> Now &nbsp;that we have a solid base to work with and our primary shapes are in place, it’s time to start the detailing process. First select the outer layer patterns and select edges where you’d like to have seams on, right-click and select “Offset as Internal Line” and set the value to how thick you’d like your seams to be. (Similar to the process mentioned earlier). Select both outer layer patterns and once again use the Layer Clone function. The leather part (Brown pattern in screenshot) needs to have its weft and warp shrinkage values increased to achieve the subtle folds across the surface. The center piece, we don’t want the whole area to be double layered, only want the seam along the edges to have a second layer of fabric stitched. To do this, select the internal lines of the cloned center piece, right-click, select Cut and Sew, then select the center area and delete that pattern. I wanted a slight bit of tension on the leather layer of the tasset where there will be stitching, as leather is generally a thicker fabric and requires larger stiches, there would naturally be a bit of tension on the surface where the seam would be. To do this, select all the internal lines of the second cloned layer, activate Elastic and adjust the values slightly, you do not want the elastic effect to be too strong here, I opted for 1.3 strength and 96 ratio. Reduce the particle distance as low as your PC can handle for the final simulation.
